After a scrumptious breakfast today, is scheduled for a day visit to Gulmarg. The drive past colorful villages and rice fields, gives you an insight of the rich cultural past of Kashmir. We arrive at a small picturesue market town of Tangmarg and drive ahead on a scenic drive of 14 kilometers to Gulmarg. It has world highest Golf Course and Gulmarg is also famous for winter sports skiing. One can take the Gondola Ride (optional tour) up to Alapather via Khilanmarg. We descend back to Gulmarg base after an hour or so and later do some Horse Riding (own cost) to the strawberry valley. Return back to Srinagar. After enjoying dinner, and a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.
Today, after breakfast, proceed for full day excursion for Sonamarg, also called "Meadow of Gold", Sonamarg is located at 9000 ft. against snow-clad mountains, with the Sindh River rich in trout and mahseer flowing. One can ride on horse (own cost) to visit Thajiwas Glacier, a major attraction especially during the summers, where snow remains round the year and Sonamarg is known as Gateway of Ladakh. Return back to Srinagar. Followed by a hearty dinner, proceed towards the houseboat and enjoy an overnight stay.
